Welcome to the Irish Network in Formal Linguistics!
This network has been set up with a view to encouraging and facilitating interaction between linguists currently working on the island of Ireland.
We place a particular emphasis on formal linguistics, (e.g. syntax semantics, morphology phonology), and on formal linguistic approaches to related areas (e.g. first and second language acquisition, computational linguistics, psycholinguistics etc.). We will be running a number of workshops over the course of 2010 and 2011 which will have local and international participants. The first workshop was held at the University of Ulster in February 2010, the next workshop will be held in DCU in September 2010. If you are interested in joining the network, please let us know by dropping an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
